PLA (Polylactic Acid) is a biodegradable plastic made out of renewable resources such as corn, sugarcane, or tapioca. It is currently one of the most common materials for personal or office 3D printing as it does not represent a risk of toxicity. PLA filament is environmentally friendly and is suitable for printing 3D objects that will be in contact with unheated foods or water.
Also, PLA filament is easy to print, it’s a favorite among beginners. It is not prone to warping and adheres better than ABS to printed surfaces, even without a heated bed.
The suggested printing temperature ranges between 195 C° – 225° C
Does not need any special surface preparation and can be printed on an unheated bed
